The John Northmoor Teen Post
Opening Target: May 1, 2026, in Harbor City, CA
In partnership with On the Go Chambers for Equality & Advancement, our Harbor City facility serves as a dedicated teen learning hub. We provide computer stations, digital literacy training, hot meals, and mentoring to help our youth thrive.
Let’s Celebrate
The Need
Teens need consistent access to safe learning space, technology, mentorship, and skill-building opportunities. Families benefit when programming includes reliable meal support that increases attendance and stability.
Our Solution
We are leasing a 3,000-5,000 SF facility in Harbor City to launch a teen-centered learning environment. Our hub provides:
- Computer stations and digital skills training.
- Educational workshops and job readiness training.
- A warming/catering meal program.
- An employer-connected pathway (in partnership with Chamber partners) for internships, apprenticeships, and career exposure.
What Success Looks Like (Our First 90 Days)
- Consistent weekly workshops focusing on digital literacy, tutoring, and career readiness.
- Operating computer lab sessions for youth learning, schoolwork, resumes, and certifications.
- Meal service fully integrated with program participation.
- Strict youth safety protocols, background checks for staff and volunteers, and attendance tracking in place.
